But tell me what's for a name Sonenclar is, sounds like the german sonnenklar.
Sonnenklar is not used as a surname in Germany, but as noun and corporate brand.

Die junge Dame ist wohl ein typischer amerikanischer Kinderstar. Sie hat schon seit Jahren Gesangs und Schauspielunterricht genommen, ist in Broadway Musicals aufgetreten, hat in einer Fernsehserie mitgespielt, häufiger in Stadien die Nationalhymne gesungen, etc.

She is not like Lena; however, the response of the judges and audience is like the response to Lena. "A star is born." A reaction like "geflascht." Also, her reaction to her own performance was similar to Lena's. Both knew they succeeded immediately.

She is a lifelong professional performer. The idea of Britney Spears being her "mentor" is ridiculous. If you pay close attention to her reaction to Britney's comment, you see Carly is not impressed. In Carly's world, being called a "Diva" is not a compliment.

Edit - In Germany, where everything is culturally controlled, Lena was a nice change. In the US, where everything is culturally chaotic, Carly is a nice change. Of course, this is a big generalization, but I think the point is made.
