A quiet time between outreach activities and interviews yesterday at a great coffee shop - texting with my sister :)

Unfuckingfassbar!!!!
Sie klingen wie ein Instrument.

"I received a special email from a father from Zurich, Switzerland writing about his daughter who has Cerebral Palsy who saw my music videos on youtube and decided she wanted to learn to play the piano so she could play music that I composed - and how they found a teacher who would work with her and how she learned "Northern Lights" and played it in a piano recital and that for her 18th Birthday they were surprising her with a trip to IOWA (!!) to see me perform! Cannot even begin to tell you how special it was to meet Charlene and her family after the concert and how inspired I am by them!"

Neuer Song ist öffentlich.

Auf die Frage ihrer Mutter nach dem Titel des vor 2 Wochen komponierten Song, erhielt sie die Antwort "I don't know", so machte sie den Vorschlag "Je ne sais pas", woraufhin Emily wohl antwortete "That sounds cool. What's that." Darauhin ihre Mutter, wohl zu ihr. "I don't know auf französisch";)

Je ne sais pas

Dann scheinen ja auch irgendwann Songs aufzutauchen...

So proud and happy for my song-writing partner, lyricist Amy Powers Music on the Opening Night of her new Broadway musical - Doctor Zhivago on Broadway! What a great night and fantastic show!
